Jelly Roll Rug

This take on a braided rug is absolutely beautiful using a combination of your favorite jelly roll of fabrics or 2.5" strips of your choice.  Maureen will teach you how to put together this great project in two sessions. 

Skill Level: Intermediate
Requirements: Jelly Rug Pattern by R.J. Designs, one jelly roll or 42 - 2.5" x 42" strips, two Bonsal-Katadin On a Roll-100% organic batting or 42-2.5" x 42" strips of cotton batting fused together to equal 50 yards, Heat & Press Together (will be supplied for those using the batting on a roll), binding clips, size 14-18 Jeans/Denim weight sewing machine needle and a regular piecing needle (whatever size you normally use), thread - about 1,200 yards total (Maureen used grey to sew the strips ad variegated to sew the rug together), Best Press, Sewing Machine with the ability to make a 5.5 mm wide zig-zag, Basic sewing notions: pins, scissors, rotary cutter, ruler, seam ripper, etc), container to hold your jelly roll and batting strips while sewing.
